Fusible Buckrum is a stiff, firm interfacing fabric used to stiffen the headings of curtains and pelmets made with triple pleats (also known as pinch pleats or french pleats) and goblet pleats,

It is also used for those pelmets with piped bands and with gathered or pleated skirts coming off them.

Buckrum is used by placing between the fabric and lining or fabric lining and interlining and then pressed, This permanently glues it into position.

N.B. Do not place a hot iron directly onto the buckrum because of its heavy glue content. It must always be covered.
